It's friday the 21st of September and that means it time for Riverfest in Decatur. What a huge time can be had for everyone. Not only is there tons of entertainment to see, plus things to do for the entire family, but there is also an official Alabama Barbeque Championship competition....The event is located out at Ingalls Harbor on Hwy 20 in Decatur. The entertainment gets underway tonight at 5pm with local artist Dusty French..also tonight The Dave Mathews Tribute Band and Cowboy Mouth. Saturday is a full day that will wrap up with Drivin' and Cryin' playing tonight. armbands for $15 will cover the entire weekend or you can get in for $3 between 10am and 4pm...after 4pm, admission is $10 for adults and $5 for children...Since 1994, Riverfest has raised over $100,000 for local charities...The barbecue cook-off is Saturday with over 70 professional teams competeing for $20,ooo in cash and prizes.
